This is a selection of exhibitions centering on the phrase "Other People's Work" invented by Jeff Bezos of Amazon as an organizing concept. US tech has grown more and more sophisticated in its models to capitalize on the labor of others. Whether through the endless supply of free labor of content generation for social media, the low-wages of the "rube-goldberg machine of human suffering" in the warehouses, the union-busting, and regulatory capture: labor is lost.
Exhibitions above include: OPW? POW! at the Luminary, St Louis; In a Narrow Circle of Acquaintances at Ruler, Helsinki; Bootstrap at the Ski Club Gallery in Milwaukee, and Freedom at SAND in Phoenix.
